Description: Badimama means grandmother in some parts of India. When I was growing up I use to wrap myself inside the curtains and think I’m hidden from the world, Badimama always knew where I was, no matter how well I hid. She always carried her prayer books in a yellow cloth that was hand tied.
I always thought she would be present forever, never realised that there could be a world where she didn’t exist. This artwork portrays how I wanted to hide from my emotions when I lost her, but somehow they always caught up with me.
